Berlin's Echtzeitmusik was never a purist scene of strictly cutting-edge improvisation, so its member provide also here a fairly eclectic output, with moments ranging from electroacoustic post-rock to poetry to the synth pads washing out in ambient Autechre fashion on the final "movement" - all these bring out more sonic variety to what might have otherwise resembled a fairly standard improv outing - for lack of better words...
Still, one might need to more than dip their toes into these streams of music in order to get the most out of its 60+ runtime. Also, I imagine it might not be the most exciting for those who prefer their improvised music closer to something like field recordings - there is little to none of that post-EAI "I Hate Music" approach.
